Whether you are decorating your home for the holidays or just want a whimsical touch, a Gnome Wreath is a fun idea. The gnomes can be adorned with a number of accessories. Adding a scarf, a golf ball, or a mop head is a unique way to dress up a wreath. These accessories can be purchased at a Dollar Tree. Alternatively, you can make your own gnome wreath with a variety of items.
Once you’ve made the gnome’s beard, the next step is to decorate the hat. To create the hat, cut a triangle heavy-duty board 24″ by 18″. Glue the scarf tassels on the hat’s top portion. Add a craftpick or a decorative ribbon for a nose. Once you’ve finished the hat, glue the beard on with glue.
To create the gnome hat, cut a piece of fabric about 15 inches long and fold it under about 1/4″ on one side. This will act as a hat. Thread the wire through the fabric’s base, and then insert the wire into the loop on the other side. Then, wrap the wire around the gathers several times to make a loop for hanging. Once the hat is complete, you’re ready to hang it.
You can also make a bow using pipe cleaners. Twist one end of the pipe cleaner at the back of the bow. Push the pipe cleaner through the mesh, and you’re all set! The bow will look great on your wreath! A pipe cleaner bow is also a great way to decorate a rail. You’ll be proud to hang it on your wall or hang it on a gnome-themed rail.
