If you have been searching for a great craft project that your kids will love you should consider using the gnome beard template. Kids love to be pampered and having the ability to create a masterpiece with ease and creativity is sure to leave them feeling accomplished. If you want to ensure that they will love it, you can give them cute looking braids made out of faux fur that they can use to adorn their tresses.

They can wear their Christmas gnome pattern in various lengths. Depending on how adventurous they are, you may want to give them a long or a short version. When I was little, I had my own gnome nose and I was always afraid of having people step over me. A Christmas gnome pattern would give them the confidence they need to go to college and play sports. The trick is to make the pattern appealing without looking as if it belongs in the “children’s book”.

Begin by drawing the shape of the nose with hot glue right side up. Use the hot glue gun to hold the tip firmly in place. Next, tape the end of the scarf to the front of the beard. The beard can be secured using the Velcro. When the Velcro is undone, trim the fringe to about three inches below the ears. Make sure that the bottom of the hat is clean and smooth before putting on the sweater.

Now for the fun part, getting your red Christmas gnome to stand up straight! Using the hot glue gun, draw the shape of a beard that is one inch smaller than your actual face. Use the yarn to tie the shape securely to the back part of the scarf. The last step is to gather all the pieces of the scarf into one loose ball. Once all the pieces are in place, knot the yarn tightly and then pull the whole thing over your head to form the top part of your new gnome!

The final step is to sew the bottom of the ball-length scarf to the bottom of the beard. The bottom should have at least three inches of yarn to allow for the stuffing of the new gnome. Finally, use a finishing touch of red and white hot glue to stick the nose, eyes, and any other accessories to the Gnome beard template. With this Christmas event fast approaching, it’s time to make gnomes for all!
