If you’re new to gnome-making, it’s easy to get intimidated, but with a little practice, you can make adorable gnomes in a variety of styles. Felt gnome pattern: Waldorf peg doll witch

This felt peg doll witch is a traditional Waldorf style gnome, and she’s simple to make. The people turnings (wooden pegs) may vary slightly in diameter, so it’s important to “try it on” the pegs before cutting your felt!

This is a block-based, beginner-friendly pattern that will make an easy quilt for all seasons. The gnome blocks are all block sizes, and the quilt is a simple to quilt, fast project that can be sewn from FQs or 10″ precuts!

Glue gun and hot glue are not necessary, but they will be helpful if you need to attach items such as the beard or hat. You can also use a staple gun to secure the beard and hat together.

To make a stuffed gnome body, cut 2 Body pieces from the pattern. You’ll need one with the feet attached, and one without them. You’ll also need the bottom piece. Place the Body pieces together with right sides facing. Next, place the bottom piece over the body and pin them in place. Then, sew the Body pieces together using a 3/8″ seam allowance.

Gnome hat: fuzzy tube sock

If you prefer a droopier hat, try choosing a larger, fluffy tube sock to use instead of a cone sock. This will give you a more realistic and aged look to your gnome hat!
