If you’ve been playing Fortnite recently, you probably already know that gnomes have been a big part of the game. They’ve appeared at various locations this season as a part of the storyline and even have their own faction. They’ve also appeared in secret challenges to help players earn some XP.
This week, a new gnome-related secret challenge is live in Fortnite, and it offers up 40k XP for anyone who can figure out where to go to complete it. It requires players to interact with gnomes that have telescopes in the Weeping Woods.
There are a total of five telescopes in Weeping Woods that players must aim to find and interact with. Each one will have a gnome next to it who will need to be activated to complete the task.
The gnomes are all located in the western portion of Weeping Woods, and you’ll need to find each one in order to complete this secret challenge. You’ll need to interact with them at five different locations in order to complete this task and get the XP for it.
Another gnome-related secret challenge is now live in Fortnite, and it requires players to help gnomes celebrate a truce between bears and gnomes. You can help these gnomes by finding a Honey Jar that’s been left behind at a secret cabin hideout.
If you haven’t completed the Ted Offensive Honey Jar Challenge from last week, you’ll need to do so first in order to unlock this new secret quest. Once you’ve done that, head over to a secret cabin in the middle of the Weeping Woods where you can help these gnomes celebrate their truce with the bears.
After helping them, you’ll have to visit a nearby area called Homely Hills, which is in the far northwest of the map. This area has a few houses, and you’ll want to find the two gnomes in the first house that’s in front of the TV. You’ll need to locate the other gnome in the second house, which is located in the northern part of the landmass.
Dig up gnomes in Fort Crumpet and Pleasant Park
This challenge involves digging up four gnomes in the areas of Fort Crumpet and Pleasant Park. The first two gnomes are buried in Fort Crumpet, while the other three are located on the west side of the fort.
The Fort Crumpet gnomes are easy to spot as the ruins of a fort are located in the dirt patch in the northwest corner of the map. This is where you’ll need to go to find gnomes for this challenge, so it might be worth heading there before you start digging.
In addition to Fort Crumpet and Pleasant Park, you can also dig up gnomes in Homely Hills, which is found in the northeast section of the map northwest of Sweaty Sands and southwest of Coral Castle. This is the easiest challenge out of the three to complete, but if you’re not that good at digging, it’s still a nice little reward for helping gnomes in these spots.
