Fortnite Gnome Quest Guide

There are a lot of ways to earn XP in Fortnite, from digging up and burying gnomes to placing cameras over at Beachside Mansion. But perhaps the easiest and most enjoyable way is through a simple side quest called The Gnome Quest, which is surprisingly easy to complete. This week’s challenge has players searching for a handful of gnomes that have been tucked away in some odd places. The gnomes will emit a cheerful giggle when approached, which makes them fairly easy to track down. In addition, the gnomes can be tracked by positional audio, similar to how chests can be heard and tracked using your microphone.

The Gnome Quest has been a regular part of the game’s challenges since season four, though this time around it has some additional narrative action. This week’s challenge has the gnomes getting into trouble with the dog guy, which adds some nice context to the task.

In order to find the gnomes, players need to visit a number of locations across the map. Two of the gnomes can be found in Pleasant Park and Fort Crumpet, while the others can be found in Coral Castle and Holly Hedges. In each location, there will be a pile of dirt with a blue glow that signifies a buried gnome. Once players get close to the gnome, they can hit it with their pickaxe and it will rise out of the ground.

After completing the gnome hunt, players will be rewarded with a huge dose of XP for their Battle Pass. This is a great way to level up quickly and make sure that you’re ready for the next tier.

If you’re struggling to find these gnomes, we’ve put together a quick guide to help you out. We’ll be showing you the exact locations where the gnomes are hiding, as well as some tips and tricks to help you spot them.

The first gnome can be found on the eastern side of Sweaty Sands. To reach it, players need to land in the parking lot of Hotel 23, and then head into the courtyard. The gnome is tucked away in a corner of the property, sitting right by a red bench.

The second gnome can be found in the northeast corner of Pleasant Park, near the central gazebo. It’s located next to a trash can and a little tree. The third gnome is in the southwest corner of Fort Crumpet, near the gate into the castle. This one is tucked into a gap in the wall, just to the left of a red bench.
